Terms of Service

Welcome to CampViz (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms govern your access to and use of CampViz and our websites, apps, and services (“Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

CampViz generates AI-based ground-level images from a map location using public satellite/terrain context. Images are synthetic estimates and may be inaccurate or incomplete.

Do not use the Service for navigation, safety-critical decisions, or emergency response.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for your account credentials and activity.

3. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

• Plans. Basic $7.00/mo includes 50 images/month with CONUS public lands only (excludes Alaska/Hawaii). Pro $20.00/mo includes 150 images/month with global coverage.
• Trial. One trial per person: 5 free successful images valid for 48 hours from start. Card required. We prevent duplicate trials using email, card fingerprint, device, and IP checks. Trials auto-convert to a Basic subscription unless you cancel before expiry.
• Successful image. You are charged (or your quota decremented) only when a non-empty image is returned. Internal retries and failed attempts are free.
• Overage. After you use your monthly images, you may approve $0.20 per extra image, billed on your next invoice. Overage applies only to successful images.
• No rollover. Unused monthly images do not carry over.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime via the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Taxes. Prices exclude applicable taxes; taxes may be added to your invoice.

4. Geofence and Coverage

• Basic: limited to CONUS public lands. Requests outside this area are blocked server-side and are not charged.
• Pro: no geofence restrictions.

We may update datasets or coverage areas without notice to improve accuracy.

5. Use of the Service and Content

You may use generated images for personal, non-commercial use. For commercial use, ensure your use complies with applicable law and third-party rights.

You will not:

• misrepresent generated images as real photographs of the specified location,
• use the Service for unsafe or illegal activities,
• attempt to bypass geofences, quotas, or rate limits,
• reverse engineer or scrape the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights in the Service. Subject to these Terms and your payment of fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use generated images. You are responsible for ensuring your use does not infringe others’ rights.

7. Safety, Accuracy, and Disclaimers

Generated images are AI approximations that may be wrong, outdated, or misleading. They do not reflect current on-the-ground conditions. Use at your own risk. The Service is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PARKSMC LLC and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amounts you paid in the 3 months before the claim.

9. Refunds

Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period begins. Overage charges are assessed only for successful images. Contact us at george@parksmc.com if you believe you were incorrectly charged.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information, including fraud-prevention hashes for trials and billing data handled by our processor.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be posted with an effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Washington State, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Washington State, USA.
