CampViz (“we”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

1. What we collect

• Account data: name (optional), email, and authentication identifiers.
• Billing data: handled by our payment processor (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; we store Stripe customer and payment method IDs.
• Trial anti-abuse identifiers: salted hashes of email, card fingerprint, device identifier, and IP to enforce one trial per person. We do not store raw values.
• Usage data: counts of successful/failed generations, retries, overage flags, resolution, timestamps, and approximate location (rounded coordinates or state) for performance and safety metrics.
• Logs: server logs, error reports, and security events.

2. How we use data

• Provide and improve the Service (generation, quotas, overage metering).
• Prevent fraud and enforce trial eligibility.
• Billing and subscription management.
• Diagnostics, analytics, and safety monitoring (aggregated metrics).
• Communicate with you about updates and billing.

3. Cookies & local storage

We use essential cookies/session storage for authentication and to remember preferences (e.g., overlay toggles). We may set a one-time consent token for over-quota approvals; in metered mode this token is server-side.

4. Sharing

• Processors: payment, infrastructure, and analytics providers acting on our behalf under contracts.
• Legal: if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Data retention

• Account & subscription records: while your account is active and as required by law.
• Trial hashes: retained to prevent duplicate trials; we periodically rotate salts.
• Logs/metrics: retained for a limited time for operations (typically 90–180 days).
• You may request deletion of your account; some records may be retained as required for billing, security, or legal compliance.

6. Your rights

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures. No method is 100% secure.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the Service if you are under the minimum age in your jurisdiction.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted with an effective date.
